Deputies arrested a Sodus man following a welfare fraud investigation where more than $11,000 was obtained illegally.
Chad Glerum, 52, was arrested for grand larceny, welfare fraud, and three counts of offering a false instrument for filing after an investigation into a welfare fraud complaint by county social services.
He’s accused of failing to report his household income accurately, which resulted in more than $11,000 in SNAP benefits being rendered illegally.
Gleam was taken into custody and will answer the charges at a later date.
