A man from the Town of Sodus, identified as Shannon D. Jones, has been arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office following an inquiry into a trespassing complaint originating from the Village of Newark.
Jones, who is a Sodus resident, faces charges including one count of obstructing governmental administration, one count of second-degree criminal nuisance, and one count of trespassing.
Allegedly, Jones unlawfully entered private premises and resisted arrest by attempting to pull away from deputies when informed of his detention.
Further allegations against Jones detail disruptive behavior during his processing at the Sheriff’s Office, including urinating on the floor and spitting multiple times on doors, walls, and floors. Jones’ actions have resulted in his arrest and subsequent processing before he was released on appearance tickets.
