Good news for Spectrum cable customers across Upstate New York.
Last week, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced that her office would look into whether Charter Spectrum should give customers refunds for the extended blackout of Disney-owned channels amid a financial dispute.
Fast-forward one week and the company is apparently issuing refunds.
Customers who called and complained during the blackout were the first to receive refunds, according to reports this week.
The channels were blacked out for 11 days, but was settled on Monday.
Now, Spectrum cable customers will be getting a pro-rated refund for the loss of ESPN and other Disney channels over that period.
The credit will reportedly be worth $15.
