A significant bridge in Steuben County is slated for a two-week closure starting next week.
The Steuben County Department of Public Works announced that the McChesney Road Bridge, which spans the Canisteo River between Matt Dickey Road and County Route 119 in the town of Canisteo, will be shut down from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. starting Oct. 16.
This closure, expected to last approximately two weeks, is due to the replacement of a steel I-beam on the bridge. Notably, no detour will be provided for this project.
