Syracuse demolished by South Florida in Boca Raton Bowl (full coverage)

The Syracuse Orange capped off its miserable season with an embarrassing 45-0 loss to South Florida in the Boca Raton Bowl on Thursday night.

It was the first time Syracuse was shut out in a bowl game and the worst bowl loss in ACC History.

The Orange (6-7) had just 159 yards of total offense and gave up 407 yards. In addition to that, Syracuse turned the ball over four times (two interceptions and two fumbles), one of which resulted in a defensive score.

Braden Davis completed 6-of-13 passes for 84 yards while carrying the ball four times for negative 15 yards. Dan Villari threw for 55 yards on 4-for-11 passing with two interceptions and ran for 37 yards on 11 carries. Damien Alford led the team in receiving with 83 yards on four catches.
