The Syracuse women’s lacrosse team has advanced to the Final Four for the ninth time in program history.
Two-seeded Syracuse beat seventh-seeded James Madison, 13-7, in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinal game at the JMA Wireless Dome on Thursday.
Sophomore Olivia Adamson paced the Orange offense with four goals and two assists. She scored three of Syracuse’s first four goals in the first half and added another goal and two assists in the second half. Six players scored goals for the Orange, and goaltender Delaney Sweitzer recorded seven saves.
Syracuse will play the winner of the quarterfinal game between three-seeded Boston College and Notre Dame in the semifinal on Friday, May 26 in Cary, North Carolina.
