Syracuse’s second-half comeback falls short in road loss at Georgia Tech (full coverage)

The Syracuse basketball team erased a double-digit deficit in the second half and grabbed the lead with five minutes remaining in regulation but still fell 65-60 to Georgia Tech on Saturday night at the Hank McCamish Pavilion.

With the loss, Syracuse falls to 16-10 on the season, 7-8 in the ACC, and 2-6 on the road.

The Orange trailed 48-38 with 11:57 left in the contest but went on a run and took a 55-54 lead with 5:50 on the clock. However, the Yellow Jackets still came out on top, outscoring Syracuse 11-5 over the final five minutes.

Just two players scored in double figures for the Orange, and JJ Starling led all scorers with a game-high 18 points, while Judah Mintz added 14 points.
