One of the Geneva’s most-popular restaurants, The Deluxe, has a new owner with deep ties to the city.
Steve Vedora, who grew up in Geneva, spoke to the Finger Lakes Times this week after returning to his roots after three decades spent in urban hubs like Boston, Portland, and Denver.
Located at 156 Genesee St., this iconic eatery has stood as a testament to classic Italian American cuisine for nearly 90 years.

The Deluxe briefly closed in the spring and reopened on July 11. He told the Times that he’s been somewhat surprised at how busy they have been.
Vedora purchased the property and business from AJ Khoury, who purchased it from Charlie Lee.

FingerLakes1.com is the region’s leading all-digital news publication. The company was founded in 1998 and has been keeping residents informed for more than two decades. Have a lead? Send it to [email protected].
