A tractor-trailer accident on State Route 364 at State Route 245 in Middlesex led to a tree falling onto a nearby home. The incident, which occurred late Friday morning, disrupted traffic in the area until early evening. Thankfully, no injuries were reported inside the home.
The Yates County Sheriffโs Office stated that the tractor-trailer, driven by 44-year-old Yacouba Sangare from the Bronx, veered off the road and struck a tree. This impact caused the tree to topple onto a house at 1177 State Route 245. Sangare was transported to the hospital for a checkup by Middlesex Ambulance.
Sangare, who was transporting 14,000 pounds of materials at the time, received multiple traffic citations including speeding, unsafe tire, and disobeying traffic signs. He is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Town Court to face these charges. The incident highlights the importance of road safety and adherence to traffic regulations, especially for heavy vehicle operators.
