On March 4 deputies were called to a property on Trumansburg Road in Ulysses due to a trespassing complaint.
The investigation revealed Nicholas J. Apgar, 37, from Trumansburg had violated a protective order but fled before deputies arrived.
Later that day, at around 12:09 p.m., authorities found Apgar. He refused to leave his vehicle when approached by deputies and led them on a chase.
Assistance from the New York State Police, New York State Park Police, and Trumansburg Police Department ensured the pursuit ended safely with Apgar’s surrender and arrest.
Apgar faces charges including two counts of second-degree criminal contempt and unlawful fleeing. The ongoing investigation may result in additional charges against Apgar.
