Trumansburg man violates court order, leads deputies on pursuit

On March 4 deputies were called to a property on Trumansburg Road in Ulysses due to a trespassing complaint.

The investigation revealed Nicholas J. Apgar, 37, from Trumansburg had violated a protective order but fled before deputies arrived.

Later that day, at around 12:09 p.m., authorities found Apgar. He refused to leave his vehicle when approached by deputies and led them on a chase.

Assistance from the New York State Police, New York State Park Police, and Trumansburg Police Department ensured the pursuit ended safely with Apgarโ€™s surrender and arrest.

Apgar faces charges including two counts of second-degree criminal contempt and unlawful fleeing. The ongoing investigation may result in additional charges against Apgar.
