A devastating accident in Yates County on Saturday resulted in the death of two people at the intersection of Friend and West Sherman Hollow roads. Steven Wolfe, 69, from Bath, along with Deborah Wolfe, 65, died after their vehicle failed to navigate a curve properly, resulting in a violent rollover crash.
The accident led to both Steven and Deborah Wolfe being pronounced dead at the scene. The Yates County Sheriff’s Department has reported that the Accident Reconstruction Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine its cause.
In response to the tragedy, several local emergency services including Branchport/Keuka Park Fire, Penn Yan Ambulance, Yates County EMS, Yates County Office of Emergency Services, Yates County Highway Department, and the Yates County Coroner’s Office provided assistance at the scene.
