Two hospitalized, second driver unnamed in serious Canandaigua crash

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office provided an update on a crash that happened Saturday at the intersection of County Road 30 and Brace Road in Canandaigua.

A little after 5 p.m. deputies responded to that area for a crash involving two vehicles.

They say an SUV operated by 28-year-old Nicholas Albert, of Canandaigua, was traveling west on County Road 30 and another SUV operated by a juvenile male was traveling east attempting a left turn onto Brace Road.

The exact circumstances of the crash were not released. The name of the ‘juvenile driver’ was also not released.

Both Albert and his passenger, a 26-year-old Canandaigua woman, suffered “serious but non-life threatening injuries,” deputies said.

The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by New York State Police, Canandaigua Fire, East Bloomfield Fire, and the Canandaigua Emergency Squad.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
