Deputies arrested a Waterloo man for child endangerment, harassment, and other charges after an incident on December 19 during the late-evening hours.
Brian Jones, 36, was charged with harassment, disorderly conduct, endangering the welfare of a child, and resisting arrest.
The arrest stems from an child custody exchange, where deputies were present. During the exchange โ Jones is accused of throwing a backpack at the victim and arguing with them while the child was present.
Deputies said Jones was asked to leave and refused. He then began swearing in a public area. As deputies took him into custody โ he resisted arrest โ prompting the additional charge.
He was turned over to jail staff for arraignment after the incident.
