Waterloo High School Senior Lily Linehan’s artwork is set to be showcased at the Artworks Gallery during April, aligning with the gallery’s “Celestial Light” theme show. An opening reception will be held on Friday, April 5, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., introducing visitors to Linehan’s diverse portfolio, which she has developed through years of art classes, exploring various mediums and themes deeply rooted in human emotions and experiences.
Linehan, who plans to major in Art and Design at SUNY Oneonta, expresses her creativity through mixed media, drawing inspiration from music and the human form. Her works, often experimental and boundary-pushing, reflect her ambition to capture the essence of the human experience through art. Lily looks forward to a future as a tattoo artist while considering teaching art alongside continuing her painting and drawing career.
The Artworks Gallery, operated by volunteers, highlighted Lily Linehan’s artistic journey and her contributions to exploring the theme of “Celestial Light.” The gallery, open Tuesday through Saturday, invites art enthusiasts to experience the unique interpretations of emotion and form that define Linehan’s work.
