Waterloo woman charged with grand larceny, other felonies after stealing car and bringing it to scrap yard

Christina M. Bartlett, a 36-year-old resident of Waterloo was arrested and now faces four felony charges.

The charges include grand larceny, falsifying business records, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and unlawful possession of a forged instrument.

Police said the investigation began in late-September.

A victim reported a stolen vehicle to the Waterloo Police Department around that time. It was alleged that Bartlett had stolen the vehicle and then transported it to a scrap yard in Auburn for scrapping.

As the investigation unfolded, further illegal activities were uncovered. Bartlett was also accused of withholding property from an equipment rental company and subsequently selling the equipment for personal gain.

Bartlett was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, where she will await arraignment through the Centralized Arraignment Process.
