The Wayne County Board of Supervisors is set to greenlight the purchase of two plots of land in Walworth and Rose for the expansion of the county’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
The Finger Lakes Times reports that county officials say these acquisitions are integral to the County’s EMS Implementation Plan, which aims to establish ambulance bases across the county for quicker emergency response times.
The recommended locations, identified by Fitch Associates and the EMS Oversight Committee, will cost the county approximately $30,000 for a 2-acre parcel at 4495 Route 414 in Rose and around $6,000 for about 2 acres at 1870 Penfield-Walworth Road in Walworth.
Both spots have been cited for their strategic positions, enabling rapid travel in crucial directions.
