The move is aimed at providing convenience to consumers and boosting the New York wine industry.
Despite the advocates’ optimism about potential legislative approval during the current session, local liquor store owners express concerns.
The proposed change, if approved, would only allow supermarket chains to sell wine, excluding both liquor and convenience stores.
