Williamson man ticketed after two-car crash sends one to the hospital in Victor

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office provided an update on a personal injury accident that occurred on West Main Street in Victor near Victor Village motors on Monday.

The crash happened shortly after 12:20 p.m., according to first responders, who say a pickup truck being operated by John Zimmerman, 51, of Canandaigua was traveling east on State Route 96 when a sedan operated by Nicholas Campisi, 35, of Williamson was attempting to enter the roadway to head west.

Campisi’s vehicle failed to yield the right of way to Zimmerman, and the two vehicles collided.

Zimmerman complained of neck pain and was transported to Thompson Hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported at the scene.

Campisi was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way.
