The calendar might say spring, but it’s going to feel like winter for the next 36 hours. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for an area-wide snow event that will bring accumulation to most places by early-Saturday.
Ontario, Livingston, Wayne, Northern Cayuga, Onondaga, and Monroe counties are included in the Winter Weather Advisory.

The precipitation will begin as a mixed bag for many communities south of the New York State Thruway. For locations north of the Thruway it should start- and remain snow throughout the event.
The National Weather Service has the Winter Weather Advisory running from 5 p.m. to 11 a.m. Slick road conditions and 3-6 inches of snow is expected by mid-morning.
The precipitation will taper off during the morning hours on Saturday and things will remain breezy and cloudy throughout the day. By Sunday, we should see some sunshine.
