New York Yankees ace Gerrit Cole will start the 2023 MLB All-Star Game for the American League on Tuesday night in Seattle.
The right-hander will be making his sixth appearance in the Midsummer Classic, but this will be the first time he has started for his league.
Cole is the first Yankee to start an All-Star game since 2001 when Roger Clemens got the nod.
The 32-year-old owns a 9-2 record with a 2.85 ERA over 19 starts for New York this season.
