Dennis Santana, who posted a 2.79 ERA over 9.2 innings in spring training with the Yankees, was signed to a Major League contract and added to the 26-man roster.
Manager Aaron Boone told reporters that he felt something during his last appearance on Wednesday in Arizona. He will undergo more tests to determine how long he will miss, but Boone called it a “significant strain.”
