The New York Yankees made several roster moves ahead of Tuesday’s series opener versus the Washington Nationals.
Carlos Rodón was reinstated from the 15-day injured list after missing about two weeks with a left hamstring strain. The left-hander last pitched in the Majors on August 6.
Billy McKinney was placed on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to August 21) with back spasms, and Greg Allen was designated for assignment to make room on the roster for prospects Everson Pereira and Oswald Peraza, who were both called up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
