Authorities release identities of two people found dead in Livingston Manor home

MONTICELLO – The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday night released the names of two people who were found dead in their Livingston Manor home on Monday evening, August 14.

Undersheriff Eric Chaboty identified the victims as Brian Sprague, 50, and Diane Sprague, 60, both occupants of the residence.

Deputies were called to the house at 641 DeBruce Road where they were met by Livingston Manor firefighters who cleared the building of any hazardous conditions.

County Coroner Elton Harris pronounced the two dead at the scene.

Chaboty said the following day deputies executed a search warrant at the residence in connection with the investigation.

Additional assistance at the scene was provided by Livingston Manor EMS, Mobile Medic, and State Police Uniformed and Forensic ID Unit.

Sheriff Michael Schiff said the incident appears to be an isolated incident and the public is not in any danger.

The investigation is continuing.
