BEACON – City police in Beacon are investigating a Friday evening shooting near Tompkins Terrace Apartments in which a 16-year-old boy sustained a superficial gunshot wound to his arm.
The incident in the area of Tompkins Avenue and Bank Street at around 6 p.m.
The Beacon Fire Department responded to the call to provide EMS service. The victim was triaged and transported to an area hospital for further treatment.
The police department has declined to release additional information “due to the nature of the incident” but is asking for witnesses who may have information to contact the detectives at 845-831-4111.
