EAST FISHKILL – Just after 7:00 pm, a former Amazon employee entered the East Fishkill Amazon warehouse, armed with a knife, described as a “switchblade” and used it to cut a worker in the hand, before fleeing the scene.
The East Fishkill police and other law enforcement agencies were responding to the Route 52 warehouse at approximately 7:04 pm to begin a search for the suspect.
A witness described the assailant as a light-skinned black male who is a former employee at the facility.
Anyone who may have information regarding the incident is asked to call 911. Civilians are advised not to approach the individual.
