POUGHKEEPSIE – In the wake of the massive billing foul up by Central Hudson Gas and Electric Corporation, Congressman Pat Ryan (D, NY-18) will conduct a series of workshops with the utility to address individual billing issues.
The first workshop will be on Friday, June 16, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Poughkeepsie. Central Hudson will have staff on hand with Ryan’s district office personnel to help with individual customer complaints in one-on-one meetings, including problems with meter reading and estimated billing.
“For months, I’ve pushed Central Hudson to hold in-person sessions to help customers resolve their longstanding billing issues. This is a crucial next step to getting our community the assistance they deserve and finally holding Central Hudson accountable,” said Ryan. “I will continue fighting on behalf of Hudson Valley families and businesses until all customer complaints have been fully resolved and those who have been harmed are made whole.”
“We recognize that our customers are frustrated and are hopeful they see we are making the necessary changes to improve,” said Anthony Campagiorni, senior vice president of Customer Services and Gas Operations. “Central Hudson has done more than a dozen similar events already this year to help customers and we continue adding staff so we can reach even more people.”
Additional workshops will be announced in the coming weeks. If you would like to sign-up for the workshop in Poughkeepsie, fill out this form.
