KINGSTON – The URGENT task force has arrested a 28-year-old Ellenville man on felony drug charges.
Police said Joshua Lasanta was arrested in New Windsor on an unrelated charge, was remanded to the Orange County Jail and after posting bail, was arrested by URGENT members.
He was charged in Ulster County with two counts each of criminal possession and sale of drugs following an investigation into the sale of cocaine in and around the Village of Ellenville.
Lasanta was indicted by a grand jury on November 21 and located in the Orange County Jail on December 2.
He was arraigned in Ulster County Court on December 4 and was remanded to jail on an unrelated charge stemming from a Town of New Paltz investigation.
