Four charged with trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine in Warwick area

GOSHEN – Three men and one woman have been arrested in connection with a five-month investigation into the trafficking of cocaine and methamphetamine in the Town of Warwick, Village of Greenwood Lake and surrounding areas.

Arrested were George Slaughter, 35, Herbert Dawson, 36, Malique Joseph, 25, and 43-year-old Leticia Romero.

The arrests are part of a multi-agency investigation and enforcement action conducted by the Orange County Drug Task Force, Orange County Sheriff’s Special Operation Group, Town of Warwick Police and Village of Greenwood Lake Police.

Those agencies were assisted by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and the Hudson Valley Crime Analysis Center.

During the course of the investigation, search warrants were executed at residences in the towns of Newburgh and Warwick, and Village of Greenwood Lake.

District Attorney David Hoovler said law enforcement “will continue to dedicate resources to these long-term investigations and seek appropriate dispositions where criminal charges are filed.”
