Hurley fills vacant town board seat

 TOWN OF HURLEY – The Hurley Town Board Thursday appointed Tim Kelly to fill the vacancy left when board member Mike Boms was elected town supervisor.

The vote to appoint Kelly was 4-0.

Kelly’s appointment is in effect until a special election is held in November for the remaining year of Boms’ original term.

Kelly grew up in Hurley and has a degree in Agribusiness Management from Penn State.

He formerly worked for a subsidiary of Vail Resorts in Colorado.
