Editor,
There seems to be a rush to destroy the beauty of our area of NY with massive solar panels. I understand farmers are having a difficult time and see the big money being offered as a once in a lifetime opportunity. But, scenic farmland is so very precious.
Why not have massive solar panels “planted” on top of closed down land-fill areas?
It’s one way to avoid more destruction of our natural environment with man-made devices that have a relatively short life span.
Perhaps there are other ways to help farmers make a good living the way their ancestor’s did.
