NEWBURGH- Maternal Infant Services Network (MISN), is pleased to announce its Community Block Party on July 22, 2023. The party will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Ann Street behind MISN’s headquarters, located at 333 Broadway, in Newburgh, NY.
“We are beyond excited to welcome the communities we serve, our partners in health and local dignitaries to this important event,” said Maternal Infant Services Network Executive Director, Jennifer Lansiquot. “Our staff is committed to serving the community with the information, education, support and referrals they need to achieve better health at every stage of life.”
The block party event will re-introduce MiSN to the five counties it serves including Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Sullivan and Ulster, and will host an address by City of Newburgh Mayor Torrance Harvey and local health partners. Music will be provided by K104.7 as well as games, food by local restaurants, education on MiSN’s services, and support for the community. There will also be raffles and hygiene giveaways.
“Having MiSN as our neighbor to champion initiatives like the block party event and provide key services to those in need is essential in bringing our community together,” said City of Newburgh Mayor Torrance Harvey. “We are proud to support its efforts and those who benefit from their mission.”
In support of the block party event, MiSN is seeking vendors and health screenings to be administered by local healthcare entities.
