CORNWALL- Senator James Skoufis (D-Orange County) welcomed local partners, Orange County community leaders, and neighbors on Thursday, May 4, 2023, for the grand opening of his new district office at 45 Quaker Ave, Suite 202 in Cornwall. The Orange County Chamber of Commerce and its ambassadors also joined, providing a ceremonial ribbon cutting.
Following the 2022 redistricting process, Skoufis’ former offices in Newburgh and Haverstraw were drawn out of his new 42nd Senate District, necessitating a move elsewhere in Orange County. His new location offers easy access from State Routes 9W and 32 on the easternmost side of the county, is ADA-accessible with an elevator to the building’s second floor, and provides improved conferencing and private meeting space, as well as ample parking, to address constituent needs.
“My team and I are delighted to settle into our new home,” said Skoufis. “My staff is excited to familiarize themselves with our Cornwall community and to continue serving all of our Orange County constituents. We appreciate the warm welcome we’ve received from the local business community and many other neighbors, and we hope folks will see our office as a resource.”
Skoufis’ Cornwall District Office will be open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and appointments are recommended.
Starting May 19, 2023, Skoufis will also launch bi-weekly satellite office hours in Middletown’s City Hall. His constituent services staff will be available every other Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and by appointment at other times, to assist constituents in the western part of the county. This new satellite space is located at 16 James Street, Floor 3, Middletown.
