Sullivan County Fraud Task Force makes two arrests

LIBERTY- The Sullivan County fraud task force has arrested two women and charged them with larceny after allegedly unlawfully obtaining benefits.

Adrienne McCord, 32 years old, of Monticello, was arrested and charged with felony grand larceny.ย  Authorities allege that McCord stole $3,496 in SNAP benefits from the Sullivan County Department of Social Services by failing to disclose income in her household.ย  McCord was released to return to the Town of Liberty Court at a future date.

Yolanda Pettway, 36 years old, of Monticello, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor petit larceny.ย  It is alleged that Pettway stole $548 in SNAP benefits from the Sullivan County Department of Social Services by failing to disclose that she was employed at the same time that she was in receipt of SNAP benefits.ย  Pettway was also released to return to the Town of Liberty Court at a future date.
