MONTICELLO – The football players and the NFL are not the only ones making money on Super Bowl Sunday.
Pizza parlors also make a lot of dough as parties are held around the country with pizza, chicken wings and six-foot sandwiches.
It was a big day for Miki Hajdaraj, owner of Albella Restaurant in Monticello who cooked twice the number of pizzas that he would normally cook on a Sunday.
“It was very, very good and helps a lot. That’s the best that can happen; that’s the biggest super day in all the pizza around the United States. It’s very, very good advertisement, it’s a good help and big boost,” he said.
Business was so good that Hajdaraj brought in family members to lend a helping hand.
