Two teenage boys arrested in Kingston High School attack

KINGSTON – Two Kingston High School boys, ages 15 and 16, were arrested on Tuesday, May 9 in connection with the assault on another student in the school cafeteria on May 3.

Both alleged attackers were processed at Kingston Police headquarters and turned over to the appropriate Ulster County courts.

The boys’ names were not released because of their ages.

Police began their investigation immediately after becoming aware of the incident.

A large number of interviews were conducted, and evidence was collected and reviewed.

The Ulster County District Attorney and Kingston Police were in constant contact throughout the investigation and determined the proper procedures. The city school district fully cooperated with the investigation.

The victim was hospitalized after the attack for treatment of his injuries.
