KINGSTON – The Ulster County Republican Committee has nominated its slate of candidates for the November election with Alison Esposito of Orange County being selected to challenge Democrat Pat Ryan for the 18th Congressional District seat.
The committee also backed incumbent Marc Molinaro for the 19th District seat.
In the State Senate, the committee chose Patrick Sheehan for the 41st District and incumbent Peter Oberocker for the 51st District.
For the State Assembly, the committee backed Brian Maher in the 101st District and Jack Hayes in the 103rd District.
The GOP committee also set its legislative agenda including four year terms and full-time election commissioners, opt-in paid family leave, an enhanced parenting time program for the Ulster County Family Court, drug court implementation and continuation, and veteran court implementation and continuation.
