UNION VALE – Several community members and elected officials gathered at Tymor Park’s Long Hall to see Union Vale‘s new town supervisor, Steve Frazier, take his ceremonial oath of office. Town Clerk Andrea Casey and other town elected officials also took their oaths before Union Vale Town Justice Steve Diamond.
In addition to town officials, Union Vale Fire District Commissioner David Schmoke took his oath of office from his friend of more than three decades, Judge Diamond.
Frazier, known by many as “Cowboy Steve” for his always-present cowboy hat, told Mid-Hudson News that he will be focusing on much-needed infrastructure improvements while working to get unrestricted services from the Mid-Hudson Library System for all town residents.
The original swearing-in ceremony was scheduled for January 7, 2024, but was postponed due to a snowstorm.
