POTSDAM – A Potsdam woman who turned 100 years old on Nov. 9 wants the world to strive for world peace and regrets she will miss riding high-speed rail in our country.
Ina Brockriede said the century has been filled with many changes. “I was here in the 1920s and the depression in the 1930s. The Franklin Roosevelt years of rapid widespread national recovery, and many of you know the rest,” Brockriede wrote in a release for North Country This Week.
“My greatest wish is for humans to appreciate and respect differences in world cultures and to strive for shared prosperity and world peace,” she wrote.
