Colton-Pierrepont Central student named Potsdam Rotary Student of Month

NORWOOD – Olivia Clark, a student at Colton-Pierrepont Central School, has been named the Potsdam Rotary Club Student of the Month for November.

Olivia is in the Culinary Arts Program at the Seaway Career & Technical Education Center. She is the child of Tobias and Ashley Clark.

Culinary Arts provides students with entry level skills of food preparation with focus on quantity and quality control. The program prepares future chefs and food service workers with management skills, baking procedures, customer service relations and following food trends. At the completion of the program, students are qualified to seek employment in this rapidly growing field or to continue their education at one of the many colleges offering Culinary Arts. Students also have the opportunity to become certified in ProStart and ServSafe. There are also college credits available with this program.

Jason Woodard Jr., Brasher Falls, Building Trades; Kiley Kennedy, Norwood-Norfolk, Cosmetology; Kaitlin Stowell, Massena, Criminal Justice; Emma Pitcher, Colton-Pierrepont, Education & Human Resources; Brodey Hughes, Potsdam, Electrical Technology; Taylor Ellsworth, Massena, Health Careers; Darian Grant, Potsdam, New Visions Medical Careers; and Corbin Gardner, Norwood-Norfolk, Software Development & Business Design.
