CANTON — An large, elaborate pirate-themed Halloween scene entertains visitors passing by 45 State Street.
Creators Diane Letourneau and Bob Ahlfeld go all out with their homemade decorations each year.
They have adorned their lawn at Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and Independence Day for many years, making unique displays each time.
One skeleton steers a large pirate ship while another looks out from high up in the crow’s nest.
Pirates and skeletons stand around a bar enjoy drinks and listening to musicians playing.
On the other side of the lawn are pirates inspecting the jewels in their treasure chest. Johnny Depp, aka Capt. Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean, smiles as he holds up his treasures.
Nearby, another skeleton awaits his fate with his neck in a guillotine.
