NORWOOD — Four fire departments responded to a blaze that seriously damaged a home at 15 Whitney Street Tuesday morning.
Firefighters from the Norwood, Norfolk, Potsdam and Brasher-Winthrop Volunteer Fire Departments battled the high flames.
The Norwood Department of Public Works and the Potsdam Rescue Squad were also on scene to help.
Norwood Fire Chief Jeremy French said the fire began in the garage, and spread to the shed and one side of the house before being extinguished.
Homeowners are Rose and Bob Radell.
Rose Radell hoped the damage to the house was limited to the upstairs back room and the bathroom, although she said she had not been inside yet to see it.
