OGDENSBURG โย Tickets go on sale after Labor Day, Sept. 4, for the upcoming 2023/2024 season of the Ogdensburg Command Performance series which will include some classic country, Japanese drums, rockabilly legends, Celtic music and the Shanghai Circus.
The series brings world class touring entertainers, shows and concerts to St. Lawrence County to perform at the George Hall Auditorium at Ogdensburg Free Academy.ย
The series launches its 2023-24 season on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 4 p.m. with a rousing and fun-filled tribute to four of the biggest names in the early days of rock-a-billy music.
One Night in Memphis will take audience members back to a night in 1956 when four of the biggest names in rock and roll — Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash — gathered for an impromptu jam session at the legendary Sun Studios in Memphis.ย
ย ย The audience will feel they are witness to a rock & roll royalty jam session with the legendary performers whose music has stood the test of time.ย
Ogdensburg Command Performances Administrator Sally F. Palao said that she and her board of directors felt like the high-energy show would be the perfect way to launch the organization into yet another decade of bringing live performance to the north country.
โThis is a fun, nostalgic and high energy show that kicks our new season off with a punch,โ Mrs. Palao said. โOur marketing theme for the 2023-24 season is that โAfter 60 yearsโฆthe best is yet to come.โโ
The follow-up show will be A Celtic Christmas on Friday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m.
