OGDENSBURG – The Ogdensburg Free Academy Key Club was honored at its 75th annual New York Leadership Training Conference in Albany with top honors for having one of the top student service programs in New York State.
The club’s student leaders were singled out for special honors plus the club’s extensive youth service program won awards for making a difference in the community.
“For a small club at a small high school in rural upstate New York, our students put Ogdensburg on the map for our award winning youth leadership and service program,” said Ogdensburg Kiwanis Club Advisor James E. Reagan.
“Our club competed against some of New York State’s most prestigious and elite high schools across New York City, Long Island and the Hudson Valley, proving once again how our community continues to produce outstanding student leaders,: said Faculty Advisor Ruth Ann Barkley.”
The awards included:
Diamond Award honoring the club for having one of New York State’s top overall service and leadership development programs.
