POTSDAM — TJ Toyota is sponsoring the fourth annual John Burr Classic at Evans Mills Raceway Park, slated to run Sept. 15 and 16.
According to General Manager Nick Czerow, both nights will be action-packed with some of the best racers in the region taking part.
Friday, Sept. 15 will see four series racing in multiple events sponsored by NAPA Auto Parts.
According to Czerow, The Excess Storage Pro Late Model series will take to the track in a feature event that pays $800 to win.
The Christman Fuel Service INEX Legends will also be on track for heat races and a feature that will pay $500 to win.
Sport compacts and Thunder Stocks will be on the bill as well, with each series hosting heat races followed by feature races that pay out $500 to win.
Following the completion of the races on Friday night, the track will host a fireworks display to cap the first day of classic weekend.
Czerow said it is sure to be a great night of racing, with drivers battling it out before the season draws to a close.
Day two will feature the heavy hitters of the ISMA/MSS super modified series during a 100 lap championship finale.
That race, presented by TJ Toyota, Waite Toyota and Ken Tibbles Roofing, will pay $4,000 to win.
Also on the slate for Saturday night are the Caskinette Ford sportsman modified, who will battle it out for 75 laps in a feature that pays $2,000 to win, along with the Jake’s Automotive small block super modified championship series, which will pay $1,000 to win.
