POTSDAM – The program ”Synthetic Species” Sculptures & Scavenger Hunt will be offered at the North Country Children’s Museum and in neighboring Garner Park on Saturday, Aug. 19, from noon to 4 p.m.
These “invasive species” will be a group of large-scale sculptures made from collected, manipulated, and up-cycled plastics.
Kids can explore these larger than life sculptures, help to co-create some of them, and learn about environmental stewardship while they participate in the scavenger hunt.
Take a selfie with all the sculptures, share and tag the North Country Children’s Museum on your social media and win a prize at the museum.
Rain date is Saturday, Aug. 26, 12-4 p.m.
The museum will also set up the installation in Ives Park on Saturday, Aug. 26 from 6-7 p.m.
Sculptures are created by NCCM Staff Artist Liza Labarge Paige.
