St. Lawrence Health donates to Morocco earthquake victims

Local community member Tarik Maatallah, left, recently approached St. Lawrence Health (SLH) to ask for a donation of medical supplies to assist the citizens of Morocco who suffered a horrendous 7.2 magnitude earthquake in early September 2023. SLH Associate Chief Medical Officer Andrew Williams, MD, right, worked with the system’s leadership, including SLH President Donna McGregor, center, to arrange for the donation. Maatallah flew to Morocco as a volunteer and handed over the supplies to Moroccan Custom authorities, who in turn vowed to give them to the medical professionals on the ground. SLH photo.
