OGDENSBURG – A traffic stop in the city and an eventual search warrant at an Ogden Street residence on Sept. 12 resulted in numerous drug-related charges for four individuals and seizure of amounts of fentanyl, methamphetamine, Oxycodone pills, Xanax bars, and cash, reported Ogdensburg police.
The traffic stop on a 2016 Nissan Maxima led to the arrest of two females.
Brittany L. Fuller, 34 of Potsdam, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, two misdemeanor counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
Fuller appeared before Ogdensburg City Court Judge Marcia LeMay and was released on her own recognizance.
Also charged in the traffic stop was Amanda A. Maben, 45, of Watertown. She was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, two misdemeanor counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
Maben was also released on her own recognizance by Judge LeMay.
The traffic stop ultimately led to the seizure of approximately 8 grams of Fentanyl, 1 gram of crystal methamphetamine, 26 Oxycodone pills, 50 homemade Xanax bars and $2,578 in U.S. currency, according to police.
Police reported that the traffic stop investigation led to a search warrant executed at a residence of 102 Ogden Street by Ogdensburg police that resulted in the arrest of two city residents.and assisted by the St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force, St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, St. Lawrence County District Attorney’s Office, Homeland Security and the NYSP Troop B Narcotics Division. At the conclusion of the search warrant the Ogdensburg Police Department arrested and charged two City of Ogdensburg residents.
