Endicott’s Cider Mill opens for the season: How to order ahead

The calendar says early August, but if you can’t wait for fall to arrive, you can get an early taste this week in Endicott.

The Cider Mill, an Endicott landmark at 2 Nanticoke Ave. since 1926, opened for the season this week, offering fresh apple cider, New York apples, homemade doughnuts, fresh pies and other baked goods, and a host of other mouth-watering treats.

This year, the Cider Mill has also opened its online ordering system ahead of time, so you can pick your favorites from the menu before heading out.

The Cider Mill is located at 2 Nanticoke Ave. in Endicott.

When does the Cider Mill open?

The Cider Mill opened for the season at 7 a.m. Thursday.

The season runs from the first week of August until Dec. 1, and will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

As the name implies, the Cider Mill offers fresh apple cider, but it provides much more.

The business obtains its apples from Lake Ontario orchards, and in addition to providing the main ingredient for cider, apples are also available for sale as is, or dipped in one of seven traditional candy flavors โ€” caramel, cherry, cinnamon, grape, lime, strawberry and raspberry.

Other offerings include a variety of doughnuts, cookies and other sweets, fresh pies and bread, cheddar cheese and, in the fall season, pumpkins.
