A Broome County tech company is on the move.
iA, based in Johnson City since 1972, is moving some of its operations to the Charles Street Business Park in Binghamtonโs First Ward, Mayor Jared M. Kraham announced Tuesday.
The company plans to create an โinnovation hubโ in Binghamton featuring a new technology center and employee training facility. Around 85 employees will relocate to the revamped space at the Charles Street Business Park.
โiAโs expansion into the Charles Street Business Park leverages recent investments in the Clinton Street corridor, brings new activity to the First Ward and builds on the momentum happening in the area,โ said Mayor Kraham. โWe are excited to welcome iA to the First Ward and thrilled to see another growing company call Binghamton their home.โ
iA offers pharmacy automation and software solutions. The company said its new technology center in Binghamton will include a customer testing space, where the company can showcase its enterprise software and advanced robotics to prospective customers, including major pharmacy retailers, healthcare systems and the federal government.
The growth of the business in recent years led iA to seek additional space in Broome County. Its national headquarters are located at 711 Innovation Way in Johnson City.
The company expects to move into the Charles Street Business Park in late summer or early fall.
