NY Yankees trade rumors, news as MLB trade deadline nears

BALTIMORE – On the MLB trade front, nothing imminent had appeared on the Yankees’ horizon as they prepared for Sunday night’s series finale at Camden Yards.

Might a significant deal involving the Yanks get completed before Tuesday’s 6 p.m. deadline?

“I think anything’s possible,’’ said manager Aaron Boone. “The one thing this time of year tells you is…you never know what’s going to happen.’’

Boone was too focused on “getting our guys going and trying to win a series’’ against the first place Orioles than being overconsumed with trade speculation.

“If I start hitting again, just a little bit…the production can come from anywhere, we know that,” said Rizzo.
